Positively Africa

Telling the Other Side of Africa's story through music & presentations! has been our passion for over a decade Positively Africa was founded by Julius Sanna and Julia Sanna in 2007. They were inspired by an educational panel on telling the positive side of Africa's story. Julius Sanna extended the positive storytelling by creating an afro-fusion & afro-jazz band.

Positively Africa is the premier contemporary African band in South Florida. They have been performing together since 2007. Their sound transports you to Africa through afro-fusion, jazz, funk and traditional rhythms. Their first CD "Introducing Positively Africa" was released in 2011. They are full of positive energy and have received rave reviews. They are available for corporate events, festivals, weddings, special events and wherever the African flavor is desired! Julius & Julia Sanna are available to do an educational presentation about Africa in libraries, schools, homeschools, camps, churches, religious events, community groups and festivals. We give a brief presentation with handouts or multimedia depending on your facility. We create an atmosphere of fun through dance and drumming at the end of the event. ​We bring in authentic African artifacts and invite the audience to interact with them.
